Lebenslauf

Daniel Tamir is an Israeli choral conductor and music scholar. She earned her bachelor's degree in music theory and choral conducting from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in 2016. Following her studies, she was engaged with founding and leading various choirs and vocal ensembles in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

In 2022, she completed her M.A. with distinction from the School of Arts at the University of Haifa (Israel), where she wrote a thesis titled "Counterpoint and Temperament in Brahms’s A♭ minor Fugue and E♭ major Horn Trio."

Currently, Tamir is pursuing her Ph.D. in Musicology at the University of Zürich, focusing on the musicological landscape of Jewish communities in Switzerland during the twentieth century. Her research is supported by the Candoc grant from the University of Zürich.
